Animal Activity Sorting (Nocturnal & Diurnal) - Cut & Paste

Studying nocturnal and diurnal animals helps children develop an understanding of animal behavior, classification, and adaptation, while also fostering observation and critical thinking skills.

This is a cut-and-paste activity. Cut out the pictures. Identify and classify the animals as either nocturnal (active during the night) or diurnal (active during the day). Verify the classification using the control chart. Then, glue the pictures onto the blank chart.

This set includes:

  • 14 pictures of animals
  • 1 blank chart
  • 1 control chart

There are two versions of the cut-out pictures: one set is organized in a classified order, while the other is in random order, providing a greater challenge. Additionally, there are two variants: one set is labeled, and the other is not.

The control chart is approx. 8½" x 11".
