Animal Activity Sorting (Nocturnal & Diurnal)

Studying nocturnal and diurnal animals helps children develop an understanding of animal behavior, classification, and adaptation, while also fostering observation and critical thinking skills.

Identify and classify animals that are either nocturnal (active during the night) or diurnal (active during the day). Verify the classification using the control charts.

This set includes:

  • 16 animal cards
  • 2 brief explanation cards
  • 2 control charts (one with labels, one without)

The animal cards are in a three-part format:

  • 16 cards with labels
  • 16 cards without labels
  • 16 labels

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

Sorting cards are approx. 2½" x 3".
