Animal Adaptations Sorting - Blackline Masters

In the Montessori approach, studying animal adaptations helps children understand the natural world, develop scientific thinking, and appreciate the interconnectedness of life by examining how animals survive and thrive in their specific environments.

Identify and classify animals according to their adaptation characteristics. Check the classification using the control chart. This is a cut-and-paste activity.

This set includes:

  • 16 pictures of animals
  • 1 blank chart
  • 1 control chart

There are two versions of the cut-out pictures: one in classified order and the other in random order, providing a greater challenge.

The control chart is approx. 7" x 7½".
