Bird's Wing Nomenclature - Cards

The term 'nomenclature' derives from the Latin nomenclatura, meaning 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, strengthens language skills, and deepens conceptual understanding.

The Bird's Wing Nomenclature Cards are designed as three-part cards and include a blackline master template. The 10 parts of the bird wing: wing, primary remiges, primary remiges (numbered), greater primary coverts, alula, secondary remiges, secondary remiges (numbered), greater secondary coverts, median secondary coverts, lesser secondary coverts, tertiaries, and scapulars.

Includes:

• 12 cards with labels
• 12 cards without labels
• 12 labels
• 1 blackline master

To use these three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches with the control cards and their attached labels.

After the children learn the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.
