Penguin Nomenclature - Cards (red)

The term 'nomenclature' derives from the Latin nomenclatura, meaning 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, strengthens language skills, and deepens conceptual understanding.

The Penguin Nomenclature Cards are designed as three-part cards and include a blackline master template. The 9 parts of the penguin: penguin, eye, beak, back, abdomen, flipper, tail, feet, and head.

Includes:

  • 9 cards with labels
  • 9 cards without labels
  • 9 labels
  • 1 blackline master

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

After the children learn the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.

Cards with labels are approx. 3¾" x 4", cards without labels are approx. 1" shorter, labels are approx. 1".
