Crayfish Nomenclature - Cards

The term 'nomenclature' derives from the Latin nomenclatura, meaning 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, develops language skills, and enhances the understanding of concepts.

The Crayfish Nomenclature Cards are formatted as 3-part cards and include a blackline master. The 16 parts of the crayfish: crayfish, head, thorax, abdomen, cephalothorax, chelipeds, claws, walking legs, antennules, antennas, compound eyes, segment, telson, uropods, rostrum, and tail fan.

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels attached.

After the children have learned the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.

Cards with labels are approx. 3¾" x 4", cards without labels are approx. 1" shorter, labels are approx. 1".
