Birds And Their Nests

In the Montessori approach, studying animals and their homes aims to foster a deep respect for nature, develop empathy and responsibility, and promote scientific curiosity.

This set includes the following 10 types of bird nests: adherent, aquatic, burrow, cavity, cup, mound, pendent, platform, scrape, and no nest.

Each of the 10 types of nests includes the following:

• information card
• photo of the nest
• 3 types of birds that build the nest
• 3 pictures of specific birds that build the nest

Also includes the following:

• general information on bird nests (function, who, where, when, materials)
• 6 additional photographs of interesting nests

Cards are approx. 3½" x 3½".
