Animal Movement Sorting (Number of Legs)

Studying animals helps children develop an understanding of animal characteristics while also fostering observation and critical thinking skills.

Identify and classify animals according to how many legs they have: limbless, unipedal, bipedal, quadrupedal, hexapedal, octapedal, and decapedal. Then, verify the classification using the control charts.

This set includes:

  • 24 animal cards
  • category cards
  • 2 control charts (one with labels, one without)

The cards are in a 3-part format:

  • 24 cards with labels
  • 24 cards without labels
  • 24 labels

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

Cards are approx. 2½" x 3".
