Tropical Rainforest

Montessori education emphasizes a deep connection with the natural world, and studying the rainforest is a beautiful way to introduce children to botany, zoology, and the environment.

This set contains information about the layers of the tropical rainforest, detailing the climate and conditions of each layer, as well as the animals that inhabit them.

Identify and classify the plants and animals within each layer of the tropical rainforest. Then, use the control chart to verify the classification.

The plant and animal pictures are in a three-part format:

  • 24 pictures with labels
  • 24 pictures without labels
  • 24 labels

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

Picture cards are approx. 3½" x 3½", control chart is 8½" x 11".
