Tooth Nomenclature - Cards

The term 'nomenclature' derives from the Latin nomenclatura, meaning 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, strengthens language skills, and deepens conceptual understanding.

The Tooth Nomenclature Cards are designed as three-part cards and include a blackline master template. The 9 parts of the tooth: tooth, crown, dentin, pulp, enamel, gum, bone, nerves & blood vessels, and root.

Includes:

  • 9 cards with labels
  • 9 cards without labels
  • 9 labels
  • 1 blackline master

To use these three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches with the control cards and their attached labels.

After the children learn the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.

Cards with labels are approx. 3¾" x 4", cards without labels are approx. 1" shorter, labels are approx. 1".
