Phonetic Letter Mats - Cursive

Sound games are essential in preparing the child for language. These activities form the foundation of the phonetic reading system used in the Montessori method. The idea behind playing sound games is to help the child recognize that every word has many sounds. 

This material focuses on the initial sounds of words (short vowel sounds). These mats can be used to teach phonetic sounds, letter names, vocabulary enrichment, and the sorting & classification of sounds.
