Beehive Nomenclature - Cards

The term 'nomenclature' derives from the Latin nomenclatura, meaning 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, strengthens language skills, and deepens conceptual understanding.

The Beehive Nomenclature Cards are designed as three-part cards and include a blackline master template. The 10 parts of a beehive: beehive (compact), beehive (expanded), outer cover, inner cover, honey super, queen excluder, brood chamber, frame, bottom board, and hive stand.

Includes:

  • 10 cards with labels
  • 10 cards without labels
  • 10 labels
  • 1 blackline master of a compact beehive
  • 1 blackline master of an expanded beehive

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

After the children learn the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.
