Montessori education emphasizes practical life activities, including learning about money. Children learn to recognize different denominations of money, count, and make change—skills they can apply directly in real-life situations, such as classroom stores or pretend restaurants.

This set is designed to help children recognize Canadian coins and bills. It includes six Canadian coins (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, loonie, toonie) and five Canadian bills (five dollars, ten dollars, twenty dollars, fifty dollars, and one hundred dollars).

To use these three-part cards, match the labels to their corresponding pictures. Use the labeled control cards to verify the matches.

The control charts have the front and back of each coin and bill. As required by law, all bills bear the word "specimen".
