Studying animal habitats helps children understand the natural world, their connection to it, and how living things depend on one another. It also builds vocabulary, matching skills, and reading skills.

Identify and classify animals by their habitat: desert, ocean, grassland, tundra, and forest (temperate). Each habitat and its animals have coloured borders (desert-brown, ocean-blue, grasslands-light green, tundra-gray, forest-dark green).
