Recycling Matters

Montessori education emphasizes respect for the environment, and teaching children about recycling helps them understand the importance of caring for the planet.

Sort and classify various objects for recycling. Then, verify the classification using the control chart.

This set includes:

• 63 photographic sorting cards with labels
  • 9 metal items
  • 9 paper items
  • 9 plastic items
  • 9 glass items
  • 9 other items (salvage, reuse, special recycle)
  • 9 compost items
  • 9 yard waste items
• 1 control chart 

To create a set of 3-part cards, print the cards twice. Cut the labels off one set and leave them intact on the other. To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

Sorting cards are approx. 2¾" x 2¾", control chart is 8½" x 11".
