Grammar Symbols & Cards

Montessori grammar symbols are color-coded shapes that represent various parts of speech. They help children understand and create grammatically correct sentences, while promoting a deeper comprehension of language structure through a visual and concrete approach.

The following parts of speech are included: article, adjective, verb, conjunction, preposition, adverb, pronoun, and interjection.

Includes:
  • 2 pages of grammar symbols
  • cards identifying each symbol with a definition
  • 3-part cards for each symbol 
    • 9 cards with labels
    • 9 cards without labels
    • 9 labels
  • noun family card
  • verb family card

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

Cards with labels are approx. 3¾" x 4", cards without labels are approx. 1" shorter, labels are approx. 1".
