Bagpipes Nomenclature - Cards

The term 'nomenclature' derives from the Latin nomenclatura, meaning 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, develops language skills, and enhances the understanding of concepts.

The Bagpipe Nomenclature Cards are formatted as 3-part cards and include a blackline master. The 17 parts of the bagpipes: bagpipes, bag, chanter, chanter stock, blowpipe, blowpipe stock, bass drone, bass stock, bass bottom, mid-bass, bass top, inside tenor drone, outside tenor drone, tenor stocks, tenor bottoms, tenor tops, and drone chords.

Includes:

  • 17 cards with labels

  • 1 blackline master

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

After the children have learned the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.
