Human Heart Nomenclature - Cards

The term 'nomenclature' derives from the Latin nomenclatura, meaning 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, strengthens language skills, and deepens conceptual understanding.

The Human Human Heart Nomenclature Cards are designed as three-part cards and include a blackline master template. The 23 parts of the human heart: human heart, superior vena cava, inferior vena cava, right atrium, tricuspid valve, right ventricle, pulmonary valve, pulmonary arteries, pulmonary veins, left atrium, mitral valve, left ventricle, aortic valve, ascending aorta, aortic arch, brachiocephalic artery, left common artery, left subclavian artery, descending aorta, myocardium, pericardium, oxygen-poor blood flow, and oxygen-rich blood flow.

To use these three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches with the control cards and their attached labels.

After the children learn the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.

Cards with labels are approx. 3¾" x 4", cards without labels are approx. 1" shorter, labels are approx. 1".
