The study of biomes is essential for understanding ecology. It helps children learn about the plants and animals in each biome, their adaptations, and their ecological roles.

Identify and classify beautiful photographic cards depicting animals, plants, and geographical locations across nine biomes. Then, verify the classifications using the control chart.

This material includes the following biomes: desert, freshwater, grassland, marine, savanna, taiga, temperate forest, tropical rainforest, and tundra.

Each of the nine biomes include:

All picture cards are in a three-part format:

  • cards with labels
  • cards without labels
  • labels

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels or the control chart.
