Phases of the Moon

Montessori education includes astronomy, referred to as "cosmic education," to inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity about the universe. This approach encourages children to understand their place in the cosmos and to develop scientific thinking skills

This set includes the following terms: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, and waning crescent.

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

Cards with labels are approx. 3¾" x 4", cards without labels are approx. 1" shorter, labels are approx. 1". Charts are 8½" x 11".
