Africa Vertebrate Sorting (color coded)

The purpose of this lesson on vertebrate sorting is to assist children in identifying, sorting, and classifying the five classes of vertebrates found on the continent, thereby enhancing their understanding of animal classification.

Identify, sort, and classify the vertebrates. Then, check the classification using the control chart. 

Includes:

• 5 category cards
• 15 picture cards (3 for each category)
• 1 control chart

The sorting cards are in a 3-part card format. The cards with labels are approx. 3½" x 3¼", the cards without labels are approx. 1" shorter, the labels are approx. 1". All cards have a green border to match the traditional Montessori map colors.
