Food Groups Sorting - Cut & Paste

In a Montessori setting, learning about food aims to foster a child's understanding of the  world, develop practical life skills, and encourage healthy eating habits. This set is an excellent complement to a unit focused on health and nutrition.

This is a cut-and-paste activity. Cut out the pictures. Identify and classify the food into six food groups. Verify the classification using the control chart. Then, glue the pictures onto the blank chart.

This set includes:

  • 30 pictures
  • 1 blank chart
  • 1 control chart

There are two versions of the cut-out pictures: one set is organized in a classified order, while the other is in random order, providing a greater challenge. Additionally, there are two variants: one set is labeled, and the other is not.

The control chart is approx. 8½" x 11".
