Food Groups Sorting

In Montessori education, learning about food aims to enhance a child's understanding of the world, develop practical life skills, and promote healthy eating habits. This set is an excellent complement to a unit focused on health and nutrition.

Identify and classify food into six food groups. Then, verify the classification using the control chart. 

This set includes:

• category labels
• information card for each group
  
• 6 pictures representing the food groups
• 54 picture cards (9 for each food group)
• 1 control chart

The picture cards are in a three-part format:

• 54 pictures with labels
• 54 pictures without labels
• 54 labels

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

Cards are approx. 2½" x 2½", control chart is 8½" x 11".
